Daniel Barnett is a lover of stories – especially the scary ones. He is currently working on the eighth volume of the Nightmareland Chronicles, an ongoing serialized adventure horror epic following one man’s journey to reach his daughter in a world claimed by eternal night.

How long will the Nightmareland Chronicles be when it is finished?
12 volumes!
What format is the series available in?
The first six books are now available in ebook and paperback, and audiobooks are currently in production with the incredible Adam Gold.
Will you be releasing an omnibus edition?
Yes! More than one! And with illustrations – they will all be huge and beautiful!
Are you working on Volume 7?
Volume 7 is finished, and I am hard at work on the 8th installment. The goal is to begin releasing the second season (vol. 7-12) in either 2025 or 2026.
Are you working on anything else?
Nightmareland is all-consuming, but . . . yes. Earlier this year (2024), I completed a supernatural cat-and-mouse horror thriller titled No One More Alone Than Us, about a hunted man trapped in a decaying mental institution in woodsy northern Massachusetts. Think: Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane meets IT by Stephen King. I’m very excited about it, but not sure when or where it will be released.
Have you written any other books?
Yes! I have three other published novels, predating the Nightmareland Chronicles. These are Longreave, Poor Things, and My Hungry Friend, and offer a little bit of everything from ghosts, coming-of-age misadventures, to cosmic horror.
Do you sell signed books?
I do, although it is dependent on stock, and I cannot ship outside of the US in most circumstances. Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries.
